Please don't buy this
This is probably one of my worst purchases in a long time. I returned it after a few days. It is just a normal hand mixer fixed to a stand mixer. Its made of cheap plastic and the quality looks cheap. Regarding mixing, it might mix more liquid batters which your ordinary hand mixer can handle. But if you plan to mix a dough for bread, don't use this. It doesn't mix properly. You have to keep putting the spatula in to take out stuff sticking on to the sides. The things at the bottom don't mix because the dough hooks are a bit too small. This thing is so light that if left unattended starts rocking and may fall on the ground. I know its cheap but what it does can be done with any hand mixer.

junk.
9 weeks. 5 batches of cookies. Mixer motor dead.... Repair/replacement from manufacturer requires 2 way shipping equal to half of the item price. I now have a KitchenAid.

Euro-Pro #2 just died...
I bought my first Euro-Pro mix Nov 2005. I LOVED it! I had never had a stand mixer before. It was great for cooking with my daughter. I hand mixer popped off the stand so easily. The blades didn't touch the bottom of the bowl. As others noted about the blades bending, my daughter was mixing something simple like a cake mix and the blades wigged out. I ordered new blades, but the mixer never did work again. So, I ordered another about a year later thinking that was a flux. As soon as I received the second one the motor sounded labored. I should have returned it right away. The second one last about 18 mos and died. My husband won't let me get another one. So, I bought a reburished KitchenAid which works great but it is heavy.

Love it, but beaters bend easily
Okay, I love this mixer. It looks cool and it works hard. The problem I have with it is the beaters bend easily. While mixing a cake mix I stuck a spatula in the bowl and it got tangled in the beaters which ended up busting. Now, I know this is my fault, but I can assure you that if the same thing had happened with my grandmother's KitchenAid mixer, the spatula would have lost and the beaters would be unscathed. I realize that this little mixer costs a fraction of the price of a KitchenAid, but I would have been happier to pay a few dollars more to get beaters that don't bend. As it is, I ordered TWO replacement sets (planning ahead) of beaters from the manufacturer. The beaters were backordered "due to high demand" so I'm certain that EuroPro is very much aware that their beaters don't hold up. On the whole, I love this mixer anyway and I keep it on my counter just 'cause it looks cool.

On the Fence
I'm up in the air about this one. I bake a lot and was tired of using my long-standing 3-speed hand mixer. However, I refused to spend 0-300 on a stand mixer I knew I'd only use on the weekends. Although the Sunbeam goes for , I still couldn't justify the extra amount in my mind. So, finding the Euro-Pro, with its affordable price, 10-speed mixer and racing red looks was a bonus. However, it has its cons. When it arrived in the mail, it looked as if someone had used the hand mixer, although the bowl, beaters, etc. were clearly unused. When mixing pancakes, it is a bit of a pain that the beaters don't reach all the way down. Plus, when I made cookie dough with both the bowl and mixer at high speed, the stand literally hopped across the table, while the bowl emitted a grinding sound/burning smell. I purchased this mixer with eyes wide open having read the Amazon reviews. I will continue to use it as it fits my price range and it makes baking easier. Plus, it meets my needs as someone who bakes more than the average Jane but less than the professional Joe. My only concern is that Euro Pro no longer supports this mixer. While I almost wish I had purchased the Sunbeam, I like that this is lighter. However, this is a starter mixer or, to use another analogy, like the HMO of all mixers. It has enough power and gets the job done, but if you want to pay a few extra dollars for a mixer with a known brand, then by all means do so -

Sunbeam Mixmaster Stand Mixer, Chrome
I was disappointed in this mixer after having used Sunbeam mixers throughout my 45 year marriage. I use a mixer frequently and want one that has a detached head. Hand mixers are not powerful enough for my needs.
This mixer was plastic. The bowls required twisting into holding slots. The beaters were similar to hand mixer beaters--not heavy duty. I returned the mixer, had my old one repaired, and bought a 1980 model on e-bay to keep as a spare.

Don't buy this
I bought this mixer about 1 years ago. It LOOKS reliable , heavy, with a lot of steel built into it. It is everything but reliable. Built to last till the end of the warranty period, not a day longer. All that steel is to make sure no-one will be able to take it apart to fix it, or to see that the internal power transmission parts are made from cheap plastic.

every design was wrong
I bought this mixer online, and i couldn't have been more disappointed. It looks good in the picture, but everything about it is just a little bit wrong. This mixer drives me crazy! I wish i had bought any mixer but this.

First of all, it looks like a nice metal mixer with a metal bowl. Well, the bowl is metal, but the rest of it is just painted silver! It's just made of cheap plastic.

Second of all, the dial on the right with all the speeds on it: from the look of it, the mixer has several speeds, one for each number. However when you try to turn the knob, what you find is that it has three speeds- low, medium, and high. The numbers are there for decoration!

Then we come to the two metal mixing blades. One of them has an annoying plastic piece on the end that is always getting food stuck in it. I've had plenty of mixers that are designed well so that they don't have to have this hard-to-clean part. It gets food stuck on both the inside and the outside of the little plastic part on the end.

The bowl has two problems. (Well, there is a large and a small bowl, but they have the same problems.) The top edge of the bowl curls around the top to make a little lip. This is fine, but the lip is not actually closed! It's ALMOST closed. That means when food gets in there, it's almost impossible to clean out. Also, i got metal bowls because i thought i could use them for other things too- such as handy popcorn bowls. But the bottom of the bowls lock on to the mixer with pokey metal bits, so holding those metal bowls in your lap can be uncomfortable and snag your clothes!

This mixer does not have a lot of power for mixing heavy dough, and you can't turn it to a speed and walk away (you have to hold the bowl or the mix will pack up in the mixer blades) but I wouldn't expect those things from a mixer this price. So that part is fine.

However, those other things are all just design decisions. There are plenty of other mixers in this price range that don't do all those terrible things. Buy any mixer but this, really! This one is just a waste of money.

so disappointed!
The description of this mixer did not say it is made of cheap plastic! All it says is 'Chrome', which it definitely is not. would not purchase had I known.

Great Value for the Price. Great Appliance
My family has been more than satisfied with this purchase. The mixer is light weight and built well. We have used it multiple times with no problems. Only drawback is that I can add a grinder to it like other mixers...but its a great product and well worth the money.

Amazon.com Review:
KitchenAid's stand mixer is a substantial piece of equipment: 250 watts of mixing power make child's play of creaming butter, kneading dough, and whipping cream. The kid in you will appreciate how quick and easy it is to mix up a batch of cookie dough; the 4-1/2-quart bowl can hold up to 8 cups of flour, which translates into as many as 192 sweet treats.

This model comes with three attachments: a flat beater for making batter, meat loaf, and all textures in-between; a wire whip for egg whites, mayonnaise, and more air-infused creations; and a hook for mixing and kneading yeast doughs. All three are solid in construction and easily secured to the beater shaft with a simple twist; untwisting them is a bit trickier because the attachment stems are short and can be hard to grasp, especially if they get the least bit greasy. The bowl itself locks tight to the base.

Standing 14 inches high, jutting out a foot, and weighing more than a grown woman's bowling ball, this stand mixer isn't the sort of appliance you'll wipe down and put away. Better to find a square foot of free counter space for easy access; besides, this machine is as pretty as it is rugged--you'll want to show it off.

To complete the package, KitchenAid includes a spiral-bound guide with instructions, mixing tips, and 67 recipes, from crispy waffles to a caramel walnut banana torte. --Betsy Danheim

Great, but not for heavy jobs
You can't deny that KA makes the best mixers. I love my Classic for most jobs, but when I get to making bread or muffins or some such, the capacity is a problem. i can't put in more than 5 cups of flour or I will burn out the motor. That means no double batches of anything. And even when I stay under 5 cups, the motor really starts to sound labored. I wish I had put the money into a higher-powered motor. I will definitely do that next time, but that will probably be many years from now since KA are made so well.

Not my mother's KitchenAid
My mother, grandmother, and aunts have all owned their KitchenAid mixers for over 30 years. Even with frequent use, not one of them has experienced any sort of mechanical problem. So, I was delighted to receive what I thought would be a mixer that would last me a lifetime. My classic appeared to be a workhorse - never straining, reliable. Less than 2 years later, with perhaps monthly use for relatively light-moderate tasks (no breads), my mixer made a few loud sounds and then lost all speeds except stir and 10.

Upon researching, I discovered that Whirlpool changed the materials used to make the mixer when they took over. Initially, gears were made of plastic. Next (I suspect due to complaints), KA advertised "all metal gears" yet held those gears together with a piece of plastic prone to breaking. As of April 2007, some models are reportedly made with all-metal construction; however, KA apparently makes no promises because old stock may still be on shelves.

Kitchen Aid bought
This user sent the kitchen aid asap for me b/c I had a time crunch (it was a gift), it was shipped and sent in awesome condition and I really appreciated it. I would absolutly do buisness with this personb again in the future.

I've had mine for 20 years
I bought this mixer 20 years ago when my children were little and there was lots of baking to do. I am not a bread baker so I can not comment on that aspect. This mixer has never failed me. I've used it for everything from fruitcakes and double recipes of cookie dough to simple cakemixes and it has always done an excellent job. The weight of the mixer keeps it in place when you're mixing a heavy load. I'm sure it will still be working beautifully when they haul me off to the home. Buy it, you'll enjoy it the rest of your life.

A Gift for Generations
I bought this mixer 10 years ago at a garage sale for 40 bucks and thought I had died and gone to heaven! Seriously I had wanted a KitchenAid mixer for years but the ole budget just could not afford a new model.

It's still going strong.

We use it on a daily basis and the family rule is that if you leave the mixer a mess you invoke mom's wrath! All kidding aside it's a workhorse and worth ten times what I paid for it.

The whisk attachment is great for beating egg whites and whipping cream (put the bowl and whisk in the freezer for 15 minutes prior to whipping). The motor is so strong that if you start out whipping cream on a fast setting you will end up with cream all over the walls and yourself!

I use the dough attachment and do not notice any problem with the motor. I will say that you do need to watch when using it to knead dough as it will move across the counter and end up on the floor.

I love the fact that the bowl and mixer head are designed so that I do not need to be constantly scraping the bowl.

If you enjoy making your own sausage get the grinder attachment. You can experiment with your own sausage seasonings and also add less fat than what you can find in store bought sausage.

It's telling that there's already been a heated discussion as to who gets the mixer when I leave his earthly abode. I've already deeded it to my daughter and I have no doubt she will use it for many years herself. She's kept us in cookies on a daily basis and deserves her reward for her efforts.
